Hi all, a thought I had on Shabbat when reflecting upon the past week. I thought it would be cool to set up weekly matches, where each family member who is interested is assigned to a partner to speak together on the phone for 10-15 minutes during the week. I would love to speak to everyone, but I wouldn't just randomly call, and this would give me an "excuse" to speak to everyone and find out what is going on in their lives.
I think it would be a nice tribute to Boca Saba, as one of the things that were consistently mentioned were the phone calls and ability to speak to very family member, as well as nice for all of us (especially during this Covid time) to talk.
What: Every week, you get a randomized family member to speak with that week, for 10-15 minutes, and you pick a time together. I can send guiding questions to use if need be.
When: I think starting after the Shiva would be appropriate, on a weekly basis.
Who: Any family member old enough to speak on a phone or video call that is interested.
Bottom line: I think it's a good way to keep in touch with everyone, at a low cost of 10-15 minutes a week.
