Hadar Toilet Trained

 So our baby (not baby anymore) refused to put her diaper back on. She said "only" toilet. 3 days later, and she is totally toilet trained. This comes at a great time because somehow her Maon finished the entire pack of diapers we sent with her within 8 days of Maon. No way. So I smugly came in the next Sunday (after we held her home on Friday to train her) and told them she doesn't need any more diapers. She's had a couple accidents, but mostly clean, including at night. So proud of my big girl!

Feedback

 

Had a great feedback session today with my favorite boss ever so far. Here were some of the highlights:

• I did a great job in the past 6 months, and improved on the areas we spoke about (communication and focusing/prioritization)
The things we spoke about last time, I implemented very well (Top three, circles of prioritization)
• We spoke about my plans regarding PPC and CPC, we have a meeting tomorrow with CFO to discuss. I said I feel like this half year was full of challenges and big projects at the beginning, but after I wasn’t feeling very challenged, and so I think I do want to take over CPC/PPC campaigns moving forward, even if that is at a cost of being on this team. Basically, if I do that for 6 months, I will have much bigger impact on the company than continuing doing what I am doing. Will see where that goes. 
• He loves having me on the team, and loves the vibes I give off for the team
• He learns from me all the time, whether about the thoroughness, my actual professional job, or being a manager. 
• He appreciates how motivated and thorough I am
• I am very professional, not just for my age but especially considering my age
• He is very proud of my accomplishments so far.
• He appreciates how much I am willing to help others even if its not exactly in my realm. 
• Three of my best values are execution, self criticism, and being a team player. He also likes how independent I work, he knows he can give me things to run with

• I am always happy to get feedback
• He didn’t have any things to give me that I need to work on, but when pushed he said I am the person people go to about some things, but I should strive to be the person people go to to find things out and understand them better.  
• I gave him feedback by telling him he is the best boss I ever had, whether that’s pushing me forward, flexibility, knowledge from someone I can learn from, and a true friend. 

I agreed with all of these points, and its funny to think about where they each came from. Some is from the Torah I got to learn in Kiryat Shmona, some is from uncle Zak at 1touch, some is how I was raised by my parents, some is from waking up at 6 to go work at the makolet, some is from national team baseball, and some is things I've seen online and figured out. And the funny thing is, a bunch is from the people I've managed. 

Negotiations

 So, our renter has a 2 year deal, and wants out. Which is fine, but he needs to find another renter at the same price according to contract (which is actually pretty low - 2600). I went back and forth with a potential replacement, but she only would sign for 2 years + and for 2600 this year and 2800 next year. Now according to market research, we should be able to easily get 3000. Also, I need to be able to sell in case I need to during the year, and I can't block a potential buyer who wants to move in during the summer. I thought of all kinds of different creative scenarios, like giving money for every month they don't complete in the apartment, but at the end of the day, she wasn't willing to sign anything that didn't say 100% they would be there for 2 years. It's legitimate, but I don't need to reach and bend over backwards for the first option, especially because my renter is on the hook for the year anyway. So I turned her down. 

Since then a few people have reached out and are interested in one year at 3000 so Bezrat Hashem I will have made the right choice

Infected ears

 So, 2 out of our kids' 6 ears are infected. So not too bad, thats only 33%. 

Best part was when E came to the doctor, and the doctor asked whats wrong, he said "My ears hurt.".

So the doctor said "Please take your ears off".

E laughed and said he can't

Doctor asked why.

E said "Because thats how Hashem made me".

Is there a purest and more beautiful form of Emuna than that??
