Shabbat Shuva, I was asked to daven. It had been a while, and my voice was pretty good that day, so I said yes. And then I decided I was going for it - I always knew country road goes great to Lecha Dodi, and decided I was doing it. Started Lecha Dodi for Od Yoter Tov, and then switched to Country Road. I immediately regretted it when I solod the first paragraph, but then it was pretty powerful with everyone singing - was fun. Rav Sobol said something in his speech. Got some feedback, some negative, some positive, but nothing too harsh.
Anyway, I regret it less and less since then, proud of myself for doing it, and it was fun. But I don't think I'd do it again in Shul.
