A few back and forth defensive drives, and finally, I was supposed to run a short slant, but saw the defense and decided to audible and run a deep slant. Luckily Ari found me for a deep touchdown. My dad caught the conversion, reaching up high to get it. That was how we went into the half.
On the first drive after, I caught a touchdown on a corner route. The next drive, a touchdown on a deep fly.
Then they scored, making it 19-8, and we stepped in their throats with a catch by my dad and touchdown by Dani (conversion by me on a broken play). They needed some deep plays, and I caught my first interception of the year, coming up to catch it. We then didnt score, and they got the ball back.
They drove down the field, and from the ten yard line, i stayed back, waited til the ball was launched and sprinted to catch it and score the 6 on the other side. We elected to not go for the conversion, since the score was already 33-8. This was puxky, because Ari and I had a combined 5 missed calls from the ladies. Apparently from 11 we needed to be home thanks to Iranian launches towards us. A fast drive home, and we made it before anything happened.
Was a really good clean game, I had 4 total tds, one conversion, 2 interceptions, bur mostly I was excited for my dad to play so well. We also had 2 more guys who got hurt, so the 5 of us were on the whole last 3 quarters of the game.
Time to go to sleep, who knows what the night will bring. הנה לא ינום ולא יישן שומר ישראל.
